  Our New Emblem

The start of the school year 2009-2010 marks a new transformation for AMA in the field of basic education.

For 5 years, the school is known as AMA School of Basic Education (AMASBE) but this year, its rightful name as AMA International School—Bahrain (AMAISB) has been granted.

The shift in name is due to the positive feedback from the monitoring team of AMA Central Office. It was remarked that the school passed the standards in operating an international school and with the approval of the Ministry of Education in the kingdom, it officially became an international school on August 16, 2009.

With the new name as a standard bearer of the school, a lot of positive changes are being done to further improve quality instructions for teachers and learning among the students.

The administration and staff reviewed, modified and improved the curriculum offered to meet the needs of the students coming from different nationalities. Extra and co-curricular activities were revised to meet the standards of AMA being an international school.

Preparations are also being done for the accreditation of the school.

The AMA International School follows an American curriculum from Nursery through High School.

The Pre-School, Primary, Middle School and High School curriculum is enhanced by the world-renowned Great Explorations in Mathematics and Science (GEMS) program of the Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California, Berkeley.

The AMA International School is recognized by the Bahrain Ministry of Education and is accepted regionally and internationally.
